Jersey Overseas Aid Commission - Appointment of Non-States Commissioner

 

The Jersey Overseas Aid Commission is seeking a non-States Commissioner with effect from 1st January 2012. An honorary position, candidates should share a commitment to the promotion of the objects of the Commission and have the ability to consider applications with integrity and independence of mind, sound judgement and objectivity. An understanding of philanthropy and the millennium development goals is essential.

Attendance is required for a maximum of twelve half day meetings per year and one full week in London. The candidate may also be required to undertake field trips to supported projects overseas during the year. The term of office for those appointed is 3 years. Members must retire at the end of the year of their 72nd birthday.
