The Commission is sending a team of volunteers to Kenya to renovate a primary school at Pala. A grant from the Rotary club of Jersey supported by the local charity Help From The Rock has already built a block of new classrooms and the project team will undertake work on the dilapidated older part of the school.
The Commission is sending a team of volunteers to Uganda to provide food storage facilities, accommodation, latrines and a borehole for the Luweero community farming cooperative.
This project is to construct a new kindergarten in the Ger district, Mongolia. The current facility is wooden house comprising of two classrooms, a washing room and a kitchen, all of which are not in keeping with government regulations and Government officials have advised that the building breaches health and safety standards and should be demolished.
