Farming Cooperative Uganda

The Commission is sending a team of volunteers to Uganda to provide food storage facilities, accommodation, latrines and a borehole for the Luweero community farming cooperative. The Diocese currently has large areas of scrub land which is currently being cleared by ladies action groups to provide 25 acres of useable farming land. The Commission has undertaken several projects to the Luweero district, although not all within the same area and this project will provide further income generation to the community.
A total of 15 volunteers have been selected to undertake the project which will be over a three week period. The team comprises of both experienced and new volunteers.
